Mercedes-Benz consistently implements the digitalization of service processes. A striking example is the use of scanner technology and, in the future, artificial intelligence (AI). In the brand lighthouse on Arnulfstrasse in Munich, every car is screened before entering the parking garage. Paint, rims, tires and underbody – everything is recorded seamlessly. This is, for example, a prerequisite for accepting the dialog with the customer without the annoying walk to the car.
"Since the scanner has been in use, we have been able to resolve all customer complaints without exception. Today you ask yourself how we used to handle this without a scanner," explained Johannes Fritz, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Bavaria, to AUTOHAUS.
